Got up this morning and noticed that Little Snitch had blocked automountd from connecting to Backups.backupdb:

Here is another one of those sites that has made it to my RSS reader. WHEREWEDOWHATWEDO is a website devote to displaying user contributed photos of where they do the things that they do. I came across this site when I was looking for ideas for my new office design. While a lot of the pictures concentrate on the PC or Mac that is located in the office (I’m assuming that most of the people just live on their PCs/Mac like me…), there are quite a few that are unique and don’t feature high-tech hardware. It’s a wide collection of creative, and some times raw work environments that makes me look forward to each new posting. Do yourself a favor and add it to your favorite RSS reader — If you’re like me, you’ll enjoy spending some time seeing where people do the things that they do.

I couldn’t agree more with the title of this blog entry from MacMerc.com:
An Intego Security Alert warns of a new exploit to threaten the tranquility of the Mac universe: OSX.Trojan.iServices.A Trojan Horse. [From The latest Mac Trojan can be avoided by not pirating software]
The first documented case of a Trojan for the Mac ‘in the wild’.
Do yourself a favor and get your ClamXav here.
UPDATED: ClamXav has already been updated for this trojan. Click here for info.
Disregard my last post about Back in the Saddle with Live Writer — I’ve found Nirvana in Ecto v3 for the Mac. No longer will I have that icky feeling firing up a Windows VM to run a blog editor. Now I can concentrate on just producing content and not worry about interoperability or resource consumption. I think I’m going to cry.
Whew.. I’ve missed this program a lot since losing my VMWare Vista client. I’ve just downloaded and installed Windows 7 on VM and it seems to be working. I’ll have another blog entry about that. But for now, I think the most important thing that help resolve some of my networking issues with both Vista and Windows 7 clients is switching to NAT addressing rather than bridging with the new version of VMWare Fusion – 2.0.1.
I now simultaneously run a client VM and Mac software at the same time without losing any networking on the Mac side. Entirely too bizarre and I’m happy just to have a work around.
Looks like they also upgraded the software since the last time I used it. Looks like we’re up to Build 14.
